As the agreement end date approaches, the student has two options:
- Complete the agreement and move out on or before the agreement end date.
- Renew the agreement with the same host.
To renew the agreement with the same host, the student has to discuss the terms of the renewal with the host. The terms may include:
- The monthly rental.
- The end date of the renewed agreement.
- Existing house rules.
- Shared Spaces & Amenities that may have been added or removed.
Once the terms are finalized, the host can initiate the agreement renewal by navigating to the 'Homeshare Agreements' tab on the left menu and then clicking on 'Renew' for the desired agreement to renew. This opens the Agreement Details page and the host can follow the standard process.
Please note
- All the terms of the renewed agreement are the same as the terms of the existing agreement (house rules, monthly rent, deposit, Shared Amenities & Spaces, etc.). The host can edit any of this information in the renewal.
- If the deposit is the same as the previous agreement, no additional deposit will be collected. Any difference is added to or subtracted from the first month's rent of the renewed agreement.
- The monthly payments will continue uninterrupted from the final month of the current agreement to the first month of the renewed agreement.
